UFC women’s bantamweight contender Miesha Tate is the head coach of one of the teams on season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter and her boyfriend that never leaves her side, Bryan Caraway, is an assistant coach for her team on the show.
One of the fighters on Team Tate this season, Timmy Gorman, was disrespectful when he first was picked to join Tate’s team by saying that he had no idea who she was, and now he is taking shots at Caraway with a challenge inside of the octagon.
Gorman said he would like to fight Caraway, with the winner taking Tate on a date.
“I think Miesha Tate’s a great girl. Obviously, she’s a great-looking girl and I’d love to take her out on a date sometime,” Gorman said in his post-TUF interview. “I guess, really, the only thing holding me back from taking Miesha Tate out on a date is her boyfriend,Bryan Caraway. He fights in the UFC at 135, which is my same weight class. I don’t want any money; I’ll fight for free. So Bryan Caraway, I want you. Your girlfriend’s on the line in this fight, buddy.”
It’s a pretty entertaining challenge and shows that Gorman will be a personality to watch on the show, but what we really want to see is whether or not he will be coachable and make a run on the show.
The newest episode of TUF 18: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate airs tonight, so tune in to see if we get to see any of Gorman’s antics on the second show of the season.
