FIFA 14: Gareth Bale in Real Madrid kit on cover (Photo)

We knew Gareth Bale was going to be on the cover of EA Sports’ FIFA 14 video game along side Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. What we didn’t know was whether he was going to be in a Tottenham Hotspur jersey or a Real Madrid jersey.

The transfer came at the end of the August window, less than a month from when the game was due to hit stores in the US. That in itself would present a logistical problem for the video game franchise to try and change the cover.

Nevertheless, Gareth Bale himself revealed the cover of the video game on his twitter:

Thats right, EA Sports changed it so that Bale would be in his new Real Madrid kit on the cover of FIFA 14. Which was cool that they did that for the fans. It also creates a Real Madrid vs Barcelona cover that capitalizes on the rivalry. Barcelona getting the better of the tcover with Lionel Messi celebrating a goal and being in front of Bale.

Bale looks kind of focused or frustrated on the cover. Nevertheless I’m counting down the days till it is in stores and I can play.

[UPDATE]: From Bleacher Report UK

Bale looked a lot happier on the cover in his Tottenham jersey.
