Four-star recruit Demario Richard, a 5’10 running back from Palmdale, California, said on Twitter Wednesday that he’d consider attending USC next year if Head Coach Lane Kiffin left the program.

Richard has since deleted the tweet and closed his Twitter account, but ESPN reporter Blair Angulo, who covers USC recruiting, managed to retweet it. Angulo also says that while the Trojans have contacted Richard, they have not made a scholarship offer for him.

Things have not gone so well for Kiffin in recent weeks. His Trojans have started 1-1 and his team held a player-only meeting yesterday that Kiffin apparently didn’t know about. While Richard, as a four-star recruit, won’t break Kiffin’s future at UCS (especially if they aren’t even offering him a scholarship) it’s just another sign that his tenure at USC is on noticeably shaky ground.
