Lavonte David, Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Late hit out of bounds leads to New York Jets win

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the game in the bag.

Unfortunately, linebacker Lavonte David made a crucial mistake in the final seconds that resulted in a 15-yard personal foul penalty which set the Jets up perfectly for a 48-yard  game-winning field goal from kicker Nick Folk.

It is was a momentary lapse in judgement for David, who is usually a reliable player and one of the team’s defensive leaders, but it is a play that he likely had to watch over and over again in the film room. Hopefully, for the Buccaneers sake, he will learn from this moving forward.
