The New York Giants running back David Wilson fumbled the ball twice in the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. According to the New York Daily News’ Ralph Vacchiano, head coach Tom Coughlin was asked if Wilson would start.
“We’ll see,” Coughlin responded.
“We need him. He has to overcome this issue. He’s a marked man,” Coughlin added.
Defenses could certainly key in on Wilson in hopes that he puts the ball on the turf

The New York Giants have worked out a plethora of running backs and re-signed Brandon Jacobs after a one year hiatus in San Francisco with the 49ers. Jacobs won’t be an every down back getting carries around the goal line and snaps in passing situations primarily.
Coughlin’s words could just be a way to avoid the discussion while they sort out the situation themselves. They could still be considering adding running backs or feeling out back up Da’Rel Scott.
Wilson recently went on a Twitter rant at fans and Fantasy Football owners over his performance and promised to keep working hard.
