Atlanta Braves rookie Evan Gattis has had one crazy season. From relative obscurity to monster home runs to being sent down the minors and back up, it’s been a whirlwind of a year.
And in addition to his moonshot blasts, Gattis apparently also has another skill – perfect aim.
See, during last night’s game between Gattis’ Braves and the Miami Marlins, the catcher/outfielder (that’s a rare one) hit a 412′ foot blast into the left field seats. It wasn’t so much a towering shot as it was a laser beam, which just so happened to catch a spectator in the no-no area.
As Gattis’ blast screamed toward the bleaches, you can see a fan slowly put his hands up in hopes of a) catching the ball or b) saving his life, though, for a while, he probably wished he was dead. Missing the ball completely, it barrels right into the groin area, sending the fan crumbling to the ground in pain.
That must’ve been a looooooong walk to his car once the game was over.
