Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens says he could play in NBA; Is better than Luke Walton

Oh snap. Bill Walton isn’t going to take too kindly to that, Mr. Owens.

The temperamental former NFL wide receiver was a guest on ESPN’s SportsNation recently where he expressed his love for the NBA, suggesting that he could play in the league right now if given a contract.

How does he know? Because if Luke Walton has a job in the NBA, Owens should be able to get one.

Per ESPN:

@terrellowens on playing in the NBA: “I could play, I’m better than Luke Walton!”

Well, should you or I tell Owens that Walton isn’t in the league right now?

In fairness to Owens, who is almost always seen at any type of celebrity basketball game – he does have some skills. Are they NBA skills? Yeah, no, but as athletically gifted as he is, he can certainly make lesser talented players look foolish.

I can’t blame the guy for trying though. If the NFL isn’t calling, try the NBA.

I got an over/under on thirty days before we hear about his baseball ability.
