New York Giants LB Dan Connor placed on Injured Reserve
By Jason Marcum
The New York Giants’ thin linebacker corps took a hit today while also welcoming a new member. The team placed linebacker Dan Connor on season-ending injured reserve:
Connor was signed as a free agent this offseason from the Dallas Cowboys, and ironically started the season opener at middle linebacker vs Dallas. He suffered a neck injury during the loss and was forced from the game. He’s had recurring neck issues this year, as he had to leave the fourth preseason game in New England for the same reason.
The team was warded Allen Bradford off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, and he’ll fill the roster spot vacated by Connor. In the 2013 preseason, Bradford played in all four games and finished with 21 tackles, a pass defense and a fumble recovery. Bradford played in Seattle’s season-opening victory at Carolina but had no tackles.
