Early Sunday morning, Texas A&M senior cornerback Toney Hurd Jr tweeted about his feelings about the state of college football in Texas.
Texas A&M is the university of Texas.

University of Texas Longhorns coach Mack Brown who may or may not be coaching for his job this season took some exception to those comments.
“For as long as we’ve had a university, the University of Texas is THE University of Texas in this state, and that’s not going to change, regardless of what some kid tweets,” Brown said at his press briefing on Wednesday, via the Dallas Morning News.
Texas won the last game between the two before A&M left for the SEC, at Kyle Field. The Longhorns fans might have been secretly hoping that A&M struggled in the SEC, after years of being middle of the pack in the Big 12, but that wasn’t the case. Behind quarterback Johnny Manziel Texas A&M burst onto the scene and had a great season in the SEC including beating last year’s National Championship winning Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The Aggies are 2-0 and preparing to host Alabama in a rematch while Texas is struggling to get their seasons tarted following a 19-point upset at the hands of BYU.
