Boston Celtics' Jordan Crawford says teammates are looking at him as leader

The Boston Celtics acquired Jordan Crawford from the Washington Wizards during the 2012-13 trade deadline, namely to play a sixth man role. And given his skill set, it’s a role he fits well.

But now with a completely torn apart roster (and point guard Rajon Rondo out until potentially December), the Boston Celtics are looking for leadership – something Crawford feels teammates are seeing in him.

Per Scott Souza:

#Celtics guard Jordan Crawford said in his 4th year in NBA he feels teammates are starting to look to him as a “leader” on the team.

Crawford’s a pretty nice guy and at times, can get scorching hot. That said, he’s a bit of a ball hogging volume scorer who isn’t exactly known for his defensive worth ethic. Needless to say, he’s not really a guy you’d desire to be a ‘team leader’.

It was already going to be a scary season in Boston regardless, but with Crawford assuming a leadership role? It might just become terrifying.
