The Nebraska Cornhuskers will honor UCLA Bruins player Nick Pasquale when they host them in Saturday’s match up in Lincoln. Pasquale, a red shirt freshman, was a pedestrian when he was struck by a car.

The Huskers plan to add a simple decal to the back of their helmets. It is a small gesture, but one that means a lot. It certainly isn’t a gesture that was expected, but it’s a great sign of sportsmanship.

The Huskers’ Twitter account quotes head coach Bo Pellini saying, “bigger than any football game.”

While Bruins head coach Jim Mora Jr. was talking about Pasquale a reporter on his phone interrupted his thoughts. Mora wasn’t too thrilled and yelled at the reporter and abruptly left the press conference. Obviously the Bruins were close to this player and they’ll appreciate the Huskers’ gesture.

Classy move Nebraska.
