Pirates fan runs over kid to get ball (Video)

On Major League Baseball’s site they describe the video as “a determined fan in the stands barrels through people while attempting to snare Darnell McDonald’s ground-rule double.” I describe it as an overzealous adult being a little too worked up over something fairly juvenile.
The kid in left center is leaving his front row outfield seat it looks like. He turns to go up the aisle when he hears the hit and turns around to see the ball bounce off the field and head right his way. A dream for a kid right? That moment you’re sitting at a baseball game and you see the ball coming squarely for you.
Well for an adult a few rows back this was also his moment, in his mind. As soon as it’s hit he gets out of his seat and walks down the aisle to put himself in position to snag this ball. He knew the moment it left the bat.
The kid meanwhile is unaware that this jerk is walking down the aisle to steal his moment. The kid innocently stands there glove extended ready to grab it. That is when this asshole leaps over him to take the ball away.
Meanwhile he knocks the kid down the concrete stairs while landing on top of him. All for a baseball.
The people he are sitting with look stunned, one of the girls has her hand over her mouth. The guy behind him is just waving his hand happy to be on TV. Meanwhile the kid is still on the ground.
