Bowling Green pulled off quite the incredible punt today against the Indiana Hoosiers today. Linebacker Paul Senn came through the Hoosiers’ line untouched some how and right as the kicker dropped the football and connected with his foot, Senn snatched it and returned it 46 yards for the touchdown.
This might be the best punt-block you’ve ever seen, it doesn’t get much better than this one. It was so smooth, clean and effortless. It goes so well it almost looks like he handed the football off. Senn doesn’t even break stride really.
That touchdown tied the game up a little more than midway through the first quarter. Apparently their special teams is fairly good. Since 2009 they’ve blocked 15 kicks, returned 4 punts for touchdowns, 3 kick returns for touchdowns and converted 2 fake punts.
Certainly Indiana’s special team unit is going to get a good verbal beat down in team meetings and film sessions this week.
What not to do when punting, example 1:
On a side note what are these helmets the Hoosiers are wearing?
