Giants’ Hakeem Nicks Dislocates Finger; Back in the Game Immediately

Sep 8, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; New York Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks (88) runs after a catch in the first quarter against Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne (24) at AT

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks dropped a pass in the second quarter that was delivered with perfect placement by QB Eli Manning. It was a crucial third down play that would’ve kept a Giants potential scoring drive alive. It was definitely worthy of a shake of the head.

But, there may have been a good reason for that miscue.

Tracy Wolfson of CBS reported that Nicks dislocated his finger on the catch attempt. He ran back to the locker room, got everything taken care of and is right back in the game.

It’s fortunate that it was nothing that would keep him out of the game, but for such an important piece of the Giants offense, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not that finger gives him any problems as the game progresses here.

At the moment, the Broncos lead the Giants 7-6 in the second quarter.
