The Baltimore Ravens are set to take on the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon, but first quarterback Joe Flacco had some important personal duties to attend to. Flacco’s wife, Dana, gave birth to the couple’s second child on Sunday morning, but that won’t stop Flacco from joining the team for the game. In fact, he missed his child’s birth to prepare for the game.

The Ravens announced the move on Sunday morning:

For those interested, it was a boy. The couple’s first son was also a boy named Stephen.

If Flacco would have missed the team’s game because of the birth of his son, it would be hard to blame him for enjoying the first moments of his child’s life. Instead, he’ll suit up and help his team on the field. Quite the professional.

Congratulations to Joe Flacco and his family. Hopefully he will be able to lead his team to victory to complete a great day.
