The St. Louis Rams travel to Georgia to take on their former running back Steven Jackson his new team, the Atlanta Falcons. The Rams didn’t regress though, they made their own offseason acquisitions to strengthen their offense. Notably adding tight end Jared Cook and offensive tackle .
“I can’t say enough about those guys up front,” Rams quarterback Sam Bradford said. “They played outstanding, and I think it shows that we’ve taken leaps and bounds from where we were last year.”
The Rams started the season with a win for the first time since 2006.
“Watching the game clock tick to zero, that’s my most favorite part,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. “You know, we’re really excited.”
The Rams face a tougher opponent this week in the Falcons then last week when they played the Arizona Cardinals. That isn’t meant to imply that the Cardinals are bad, the Falcons just made it to the NFC Championship game last season.
Unfortunately the Falcons season didn’t start out quite as well as the Rams, they lost their season opener in New Orleans to the Saints 23-17.
