WWE Night of Champions Results: CM Punk vs Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman

facebooktwitterreddit

Following the match up between Fandango and The Miz, the WWE takes time to point out the soldiers in the crowd which is followed by a “USA!” chant.

Next up is the match I’ve been waiting for all week long. Actually ever since it was announced a couple of weeks ago on RAW. You have two of the greatest minds in sports entertainment clashing once again on Pay Per View.

CM Punk vs Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman

Of course both Axel and Heyman make their way to the ring. You don’t want the crowd to start off the match with boo’s.

Next up is the Voice of the Voiceless, CM Punk. Who emerges from the curtain looking like he”s ready to destroy someones life. The crowd stands to their feet as Heyman cringes when Cult of Personality blasts through the Arena.

Punk comes out holding a Kendo Stick, checks his “watch” and makes his way to the ring.

The match starts off with Heyman out of the ring and Punk/Axel holding Kendo sticks. Punk ducks under a swing by Axel and unleashes multiple shots to the body of Axel with his own weapon. He then hits a signature Sandman russian leg sweep then hits a suicide dive on Paul Heyman.

Heyman gets pulled into the ring by Punk. Heyman tries to fight off Punk as he picks up a Kendo stick and begs for mercy. He shouts I love you to Punk as Axel sneaks up from behind and hits Punk with a low blow. Heyman escapes out of the ring as Axel goes to work on Punk.

Axel hits Punk on the neck with a hard Kendo stick shot as Heyman shouts from outside the ring, “I BELIEVE IN YOU!”. Axel pulls a chair from under the ring looking to attack Punk with it. Axel took too long which allowed Punk to pull himself together and gain momentum. The young champion who had a match up to kick off the pay per view drop kicks the challenger in the chin before he can get off a chair shot.

Heyman’s bouncing around the outside of the ring looking like a smaller/balder version of Brock Lesnar.

Finally someone listens to the crowd after “We Want Tables!” chants were heard as Axel pulls one out from under the ring. He props it up in the corner and looks to suplex Punk through it. Punk reverses, turns Axel around but gets reversed.

Axel locks in a tight sleeper hold on Punk. Punk looks like he’s fading out but Axel releases the hold and drives his boot into Punk’s face. Axel rushes Punk but gets thrown shoulder first into a chair that was placed in a corner. Punk hits his swinging neckbreaker on the young Intercontinental Champion followed by his signature high running knee and clothesline.

He pulls himself onto the top rope, points to the ceiling like Randy Savage but Axel rolls out of the ring.

Heyman shouts once again in the ring as Axel picks apart Punk, telling him “You’re better than CM Punk!” Which is clearly a lie. Axel grabs ahold of a Kendo stick and treats him like Heyman did a couple weeks ago on RAW.

Axel hits a Go To Sleep then gets locked into the Anaconda Vise. Next up Paul Heyman. It’s a handicap elimination match.

Heyman looks absolutely terrified as Punk has a disturbing look on his Face. Punk slides out of the ring and begins chasing Heyman through the crowd.

Punk catches Heyman in the middle of the ring and begins toying with the long time manager. Hooking him by his nose holes and pulling on his ears. Heyman begins to plead with his former client as Punk grips onto a Kendo stick.

Heyman goes in for a hug and gets pushed away. Punk unleashes an attack on Heyman. Kendo stick shot after shot, Punk continues to inflict pain on his former best friend.

Punk pulls handcuffs from his boots and handcuffs Heyman’s hands behind his back. Punk begins hitting the ankles of Heyman and smashes the stick across his chest. Punk is having some fun in this match up. The outcome everybody wanted.

As Punk goes to strike Heyman with the Kendo stick, Ryback slides into the ring and spears him through the table that was propped up on the table. Ryback puts Heyman on CM Punk and picks up the victory.

I was not expecting that. Looks like we know who the next Paul Heyman guy is.

WINNER: Paul Heyman
