Alabama Crimson Tide running back T.J. Yeldon had a great gaming against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, running for 149 yards and a touchdown in Alabama’s thrilling 49-42 win at College Station. Yeldon, however, wasn’t perfect, earning his team a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct after celebrating a touchdown by mimicking Johnny Manziel’s “show me the money” gesture and then throwing in a mimed throat-slash for good measure.
Yeah, I’m guessing Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban wasn’t too happy about that.
Yeldon issued the following apology on Monday:
I want to apologize to everyone for my selfish actions on Saturday. That is not the way I want to represent myself, my family and our team. That is not the way we do things at Alabama. This is something that I will learn from, and I will use better judgment in the future (ESPN).
Yeldon, a sophomore, is destined for the No Fun League on day, so he better get those celebrations out of his system now.
