Can USC Head Coach Lane Kiffin save his job?

The hot seat that USC Head Coach Lane Kiffin is currently sitting in cooled down just a tad this weekend, as redshirt sophomore QB Cody Kessler completed 15/17 attempts for 237 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-7 win over Boston College as the offense looked the best it has since Matt Barkley was healthy and starting for them last year.

Kiffin has rotated Kessler and Max Wittek all season, but the Kessler finally appears to have locked up the starting spot going forward, and iif the Trojans can continue too make week-to-week improvements and get to 8-9 wins, perhaps the end of Kiffin isn’t as set in stone as many make it out to be.

Kessler will almost certainly start next week’s game against Utah State, and assuming they can win that game, they’ll enter the heart of PAC-12 play at 2-1 with some positive momentum and hope for better days.

Their next three games will be @ Arizona State, home against Arizona, and @ Notre Dame. This will be a critical month for the future of Kiffin and the Trojan program.
