Reggie Bush has proven to be an effective part of the Detroit Lions offense this season after his breakout game in week one with 191 all-purpose yards. In that first game Bush was banged up, dislocating his thumb and pulling his groin. He also hyper-extended his knee last week.

Late in the first half in their loss against the Arizona Cardinals, Bush injured his knee. He tried to return in the second half but after two carries he sat out the rest of the game. Bush got tests done on his knee.

“The tests today were encouraging,” Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Monday, via NFL.com. “He’s going to be sore, but he doesn’t have anything that is going to be long term.”

There hasn’t been much clarification aside from that. His status for their week three matchup agains the Redskins is still up in the air.

“It’s too hard to speculate on injuries,” Schwartz said. “That’s why I usually don’t.”

Reggie Bush just tweeted out 4 thumbs up signs.
