The rivalry between UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey and her upcoming opponent Miesha Tate is reaching new levels during their current coaching stint on season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter, and the challenger has recently revealed some big plans for her rematch with Rousey.
In their previous meeting for the Strikeforce belt, Rousey was victorious by — you guessed it — first-round arm bar, but Tate doesn’t seem to believe that is how the fight will play out this time around.
“I’m going to break her jaw,” Tate said during an appearance on FOX Sports 1′s UFC Tonight. “I’m not going to stop punching until something on her face is broken and she wakes up looking at the lights.”
Often times in mixed martial arts, rivalries can seem forced, but these two women genuinely hate each other.
It’s great to see Tate fired up for the fight, but she will have to be careful that she doesn’t let her emotions get the best of her when she faces Rousey in the octagon.
Rousey is all business, so if Tate comes out wild and loses her technique, there will be plenty of opening’s for Rousey to take her to the mat and finish off the fight with her trademark submission.
Regardless of how the fight plays out, it is going to be fun to watch.
