Sunday night was just downright brutal for Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers. A week after an impressive opening season win over the Packers, Kaepernick and his squad were shut completely down by the Seattle Seahawks, who can certainly boast about having maybe the best defense in all of the NFL.

Three points was all that this 49ers offense was able to muster up. Kaepernick, personally, didn’t do well neither. The third-year phenom was just 13-of-28 for 127 yards, zero touchdowns and was picked off three times. It was a far cry from last week’s 412 yard, three TDs and no picks output.

Aside from the fact that the first loss of the season was to their biggest division rival, Kaepernick had another problem on his his hands.

Leading up to this game, EA Sports–in conjunction with their Madden 25 campaign–had constantly run promotions featuring Kaepernick and Seahawks QB Russell Wilson making a bet with one another consisting of the losing quarterback having to shave an eyebrow following the game.

Well, following the game last night, EA Sports released this visual evidence of Kaepernick paying up on that bet, with Wilson watching in the background–well, we think:

I say “we think” because the video itself leaves me a bit skeptical to its validity. It looks a bit staged for having followed such an emotional game, especially for Kaepernick.

But, Kaepernick always seemed like a down-to-earth guys and, well, a bet’s a bet.

Have you mistaken the 2010 brutal win against BSU? lol yes they beat us 3 out of the 4 years he played, (barely), but the year BSU was number 3 in the nation… was the same year we took it :P He left UNR with a BSU win in his last year.

  • Ed Crites

That was staged. It has nothing to do with the emotional game, just look at the beard in the video and the full on beard he had last night. Two totally different periods in time.
