It is the first round of Champions League group stage action for the 2013-14 season. This is a Group B match up between FC Copenhagen and Serie A’s Juventus. Group B is an incredibly tough group with the dominant Spanish side Real Madrid and the Turkish side Galatasaray. You could make the claim that this is the group of death.

“It is important to get off to a good start,” Juventus coach Antonio Conte said, via ESPN FC. “Our aim is to do better than last season and we will go out for the victory in Copenhagen. However, we cannot take the risk of underestimating Copenhagen. The Champions League always manages to bring out the best in players.”

Doing well in the Champions League would be nice, but Juventus is really just focusing on the Serie A crown.

“Our real aim this season is the domestic league, where we can compete,” Conte said. ”But we want to go as far as possible in the Champions League.”
