Jon Jones wants to box a Klitschko brother

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is one of the best in mixed martial arts, but he has his sights set on a much different sport — boxing. Jones admitted that he has thought about boxing and he would like to take on some of the best if he were to ever make the jump.

Who would Jones call out if he made a jump to boxing?

“One of the Klitschko brothers,” Jones said, via My FOX LA.  “It’s been something I’ve really, really been thinking about and maybe we can entertain that in the future.”

“Why not take the shot? Why not give you the chance to be great, to be a world champion in two different sports. So yeah, a lot of people may think I’m crazy for even thinking about it but the only limitations are the ones we put on ourselves and I just don’t believe in limiting myself.”

“I have a great chin on me, intelligence, work ethic. I believe in studying my opponents and basically if you break down your opponent and you surround yourself with the right people, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible to compete with those guys.  You never know, maybe even come out with a victory.”

It is hard to imagine Jones going against one of the top boxers in their respective weight classes and finding any success, but he is a unique strike.

The problem, however, is that boxing is a whole different animal and Jones often relies on his legs to keep range and his takedowns to control his opponents. Entering the boxing ring wouldn’t be easy.
