Nebraska Cornhuskers coach Bo Pelini issues second apology

Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Bo Pelini issued another apology for his profanity-filled rant about Nebraska fans, a tirade from two years ago that found its way onto the Internet on Monday via Deadspin. Pelini first addressed the issue on Monday night but found it pertinent to clarify just how sorry he truly is.

So what does Pelini really think about Nebraska fans? Well…

I do believe that we have great fans. I respect them. I respect them for who they are. I’ve said it over and over and over since I’ve been here that we have great fans. But I’m human like anyone else. You say things in an emotional moment under certain circumstances. Like anybody else, you’re human. You make mistakes. You apologize for your mistakes and you move on. And that’s all you can do in this situation (ESPN).

Of course, an even better apology would probably be a thorough demolishing of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits this upcoming Saturday. And patching things up with Tommie Frazier probably wouldn’t hurt, too. And maybe throw in a Big Ten title for good measure, eh? That should placate the angry fans.
