On Tuesday the Champions League competition officially got underway as Groups A through D competed. The games were dominated by blow outs for the most part. The only game that was close was a tie between FC Copenhagen and Juventus, at Copenhagen.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat trick led Real Madrid to a dominating 6-1 win over Galatasaray. I had picked that game as my match to watch because I thought it would be competitive given Galatasaray’s tough home venue. I was wrong.
Other than that I don’t think any of the games’ results are too terribly surprising and it went about how you’d expect it too. You know, aside from all the lopsided victories. Groups A-D will play again Wednesday October 2nd.
