Brian Hoyer spent the majority of his career in New England playing for the Patriots for 3 years. He spent one season in Arizona and cot some considerable playing time there.
In two games and one start for the Arizona Cardinals, Hoyer threw 53 times and completed 30 passes (56.6%), 330 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
His career stat line creates a lot of doubt and lack of confidence over his starting abilities, because he hasn’t played a whole lot. In his entire career he has completed 57 of 96 passes (59.4%) for 616 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
According to Pro Football Reference he has started just 1 game in his 5 year career.
