Cleveland Browns say they're not giving up on season

The Cleveland Browns made a mind-blowing trade when they parted ways with last year’s No. 3 overall pick for a first-round pick from the Indianapolis Colts. Immediately, it seemed obvious that the team was attempting to tank this season, but  CEO Joe Banner wanted to put a stop to those talks.

“We’re going to continue to play hard and do everything we can to win every week,” Banner said, via Pro Football Talk.

Head coach Rob Chudzinski had the same silly remarks.

“We’ll have the same expectations, we’ll have the same goals, and we’re going to do everything we can to win every week. Nothing has changed from that standpoint,” Chudzinski said.

It is hard to find a reasoning behind the Browns decision to trade Richardson other than the fact that they have no plans to win this season, so you can understand the outrage from the team’s fan base.

Add in the fact that Richardson was living up to his talent and looking like a future star, and the Browns may have made a franchise costing mistake.

Good move for the Colts and the Browns. We are going nowhere without a franchise QB. I think this regime will do much better in the draft then the last dozen or so. They actually have a plan.
