iOS 7 Release Time Update

When Apple unveiled the newest iPhones, the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, they also announced that September 18th would be the day the world got the iOS 7 update. That day has arrived and Apple’s faithful followers are eagerly awaiting the download.

It has been reported that the release time will be 10 a.m. PT, or 1 p.m. ET time if you’re on the United States’ east coast. That time is based on Apple’s history of releasing previous iOS updates.

Remember though, there is no official time. So if that time comes and goes with no update that doesn’t mean you’re looking in the wrong place or you’ve missed it. It’s just a guess based on past releases.

I wouldn’t start checking for updates till that time though, you can save your morning for getting some work done before you inevitably spend the rest of the day playing with and learning the new iOS 7.

Unfortunately not all devices are compatible for iOS 7.

Compatible devices are as follows:

  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 4s
  • iPhone 5
  • iPad 2
  • iPad 3
  • iPad 4
  • iPad Mini
  • iPod Touch (5th Generation)

We did come up with a list of three things you should do ahead of the release. We’ve also seen some previews of what apps will look like on the new iOS 7 plus Pandora’s new look for the iOS 7 update.
