Ohio State backup quarterback Kenny Guiton and UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr earned Walter Camp Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the Walter Camp Foundation announced Sunday.
As a backup QB starting for injured Braxton Miller, Guiton was 21 of 32 for 276 yards and four touchdowns in OSU’s 52-34 win at Cal in Week 3. He also rushed for 92 yards, and he is the eighth player in Buckeyes’ history to earn Walter Camp honors.
Barr recorded 11 tackles and forced three fumbles in UCLA’s 41-21 win at Nebraska last week. He is the fifth player in Bruins’ history to earn the honor.
Barr was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week earlier this week.
Ohio State (3-0) hosts Florida A&M at noon Saturday (Big Ten Network), while UCLA (2-0) hosts New Mexico State at 7:30 p.m. (Pac-12 Network).
