There aren’t a lot of tantalizing matchups this week in college football, but one of the more intriguing games to watch will be when the Clemson Tigers, bolstering a lofty No. 3 ranking in the AP Poll, take their talents to Raleigh to face the NC State Wolfpack. While few will be expecting the rebuilding Wolfpack to pit up much of a fight against the mighty Tigers, this is typically the kind of game that Clemson struggles in and play down to their competition, making this a game to watch Thursday night.

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd will look to continue his Heisman campaign on a national TV stage, and he is poised todo just that. Last season against N.C. State, Boyd passed for 426 yards and tossed three touchdowns that covered covered 40+ yards. Boyd is primed for another big game Thursday against a Wolfpack defense that allowed 300 passing yards to FCS foe Richmond on Sept. 7.

He also needs just 20 more touchdown passes to break Philip Rivers’ ACC career record. With 10 games remaining, not counting a possible ACC Championship game and a bowl game, he should break that easily.
