WWE 2K14 will feature ’30 Years of WrestleMania’

With the Holiday season just around the corner, game developers around the world are starting to release their big name titles.

2K will have a busy month of October with the releases of both NBA 2K14 and WWE 2K14 at the beginning and end of the month.

Now 2K has been releasing NBA games for awhile and has taken over the basketball world when it comes to video games ever since EA Sports fell off the basketball wagon. With a surprising move, Take-Two picked up the license from THQ who filed for bankruptcy (also lost UFC, who went with EA Sports), will be 2K’s first professional wrestling game.

This game is sure to be the most popular of the series and will feature a roster full of wrestlers from the past and today. WWE has released some good video games within the last couple of years. I mean, WWE All-Stars was great but not that great.

A main feature with this years game happens to be ’30 Years of WrestleMania’, which will feature some of the biggest wrestling matches in WrestleMania history.

This mode includes 45 history defining matches and classic footage and wrestlers. It takes more of a spin off of the Attitude Era Mode from WWE ’13, so while that mode revolved around key parts of the Attitude Era, this mode will revolve around the historic stories instead of original ones.

Each chapter of this mode will feature it’s own title and focus. For example there happens to be one entitled “Hulkamania Runs Wild” which focuses on Hogan and the early WrestleMania years. Then you have one titled “The New Generation” which focuses on the mid 1990’s.

It will also featured multiplayer which hopefully has better servers than the previous ones we have seen with the last couple of games.

This years game will feature Bill Goldberg, The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, King Kong Bundy, Yokozuna, Razor Ramon and Diesel.

I never got a chance to check out WWE ’13, but I’m definitely going to try to see if I can get my hands on WWE 2K14.
