It’s been quite the year for viral videos originating from high school football games. Unfortunately, most of those videos have stemmed from poor decisions from coaches or players which involved fighting or massively devastating hits, like the video you’re about to see.
This particular hit took place in Georgia where Warner Robbins Northside High was taking on Macon Westside High.
In the third quarter, Westside High quarterback DeQavius Walker thought he saw what was an open hole and in attempt to flee the nearing pressure, he took off.
That’s where highly touted Northside defender Devonte Taylor greeted him with a colossal hit which flipped Walker off his feet, completely into the air as he did a flip before coming down.
Remember, these are high school kids. You don’t see hits of that nature at the high school level very often. Hell, you don’t see hits like that at the college level very often.
Thankfully, after some dusting off, Walker was reportedly okay, though he probably wasn’t thrilled to see the hit plastered across the internet and television this week.
