UCLA's Shaq Evans happy to see USC football struggling

While the USC-UCLA rivalry doesn’t get the same type of press that others may get, it’s still a relatively strong rivalry, especially between players – say like UCLA wide receiver Shaq Evans.

Evans recently sat down with the Los Angeles Daily News and expressed his excitement for how bad the crosstown Trojans have been playing this season:

“Knowing that we’re going to beat them again this year . . . Especially two years ago when they beat us 50-0. We owe them a little bit. This year, we’re going to try to embarrass them, honestly.
They’re struggling, it’s just awesome to see that. I hate them. So I’m just loving it.
“I’ve always hated them.”

Evans goes on in his near five minute audio interview, but you get the point.

The talented wide receiver has more reason to dislike USC than off his UCLA uniform alone as Evans was a transfer from Notre Dame, who also has a relatively solid rivalry with the Trojans.

No matter the uniform though, it’s clear Evans is no fan of USC. And I’m guessing the feeling is quite mutual.
