Jordan Spieth is rolling along at the Tour Championship by Coca Cola! The 20 year-old rookie fired a three under par 67 on Friday to take the clubhouse lead at five under par. Adam Scott, is also at five under par at this writing, and still on the golf course finishing up his second round. They both trail “The Machine”, Henrik Stenson by five strokes. Spieth continues to amaze everyone in, and around the PGA Tour, and the FedEx Cup playoff.
Jordan Spieth started his day off with a bogey on the first hole, and another at the fifth hole. He continues to play with the mindset of someone who is at least in their late twenties, to early thirties. His though process, and how disciplined he is at playing a very difficult golf course is amazing.
It doesn’t hurt when you can hit it an average of 313 off of the tee, and gain 2.234 strokes on the greens putting. He stepped up his driving distance today, but paid the price with a less than stellar accuracy average. He was still able to scramble and averaged 1.5 putts per green on the day.
If you’re not keeping up with this exciting youngster, you are missing the beginning of a long career where, and if he can stay healthy, stands a chance to put some records in the books.
