A day after leaving practice early due to tightness in his back, pro-bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall returned to the practice field today for the Chicago Bears.

He participated in full pads and is expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. Now this is great news for this Chicago Bears offense. I don’t think Cutler would be able to throw to his tight end all game if his other targets weren’t locked down.

Steelers corner Ike Taylor should be matched up on Marshall this Sunday. Taylor held A.J. Green to under 50 yards last week and didn’t allow him to bring in a touchdown reception in the loss. So this match up between Taylor and Marshall should be a spotlight, which could open the field for the other targets who line up for Cutler.

This offense has proved early on that it can drive down field late in the game and put up points. That is if Cutler is able to know where the defenders are and doesn’t turn the ball over. This isn’t the first time Marshall has lined up across Taylor in his career, so he should do fairly well against him on Sunday.

But right now everything looks good for this Chicago Bears team who will look to go 3-0.
