Colorado State will make $1.5 million playing Alabama Crimson Tide

There’s a very slim chance the Colorado State Rams will beat the Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend. However, a big payday for the CSU program is guaranteed. According to USA Today Sports, the Rams will receive $1.5 million to travel down to Tuscaloosa.

Yeah, I’d be head over heels with excitement, too.

Former Colorado State quarterback and current athletic director Jack Graham expressed confidence that his team will go down and put up a fight:

No one is giving us a chance in this football game and understandably. That’s not illogical given the track record. There’s absolutely a dynasty in existence at Alabama right now, but I can tell you every one of our players is going to go in with a view that they’re going to play every play with a higher level of intensity than they’ve ever played before, and things happen. Things happen and we’ll see how it turns out.

The game between Alabama and Colorado State will begin at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be televised on ESPN2. Unfortunately, it’s doubtful the pregame activities will include the signing of a giant novelty check.
