Eddie George says Browns trading Trent Richardson to Colts did him a favor

Former NFL talent and four time Pro Bowl running back Eddie George was out on the town in Los Angeles this week when TMZ Sports caught up with the former Ohio State star to ask his opinion on the Trent Richardson trade.

George appeared to be a bit perplexed by the deal, though, suggested it’s good for Richardson who should find success in the Colts system:

“They might have done him a favor actually. Sending him with Andrew Luck. I think he’s in a good situation there.”

Not wanting to ruffle any feathers, despite his distaste for the deal, George suggested it very well could pay off for the Browns too, which leads me to believe Eddie has a future in politics. Way to play both sides of the fence there, EG.

Also, I know George has done college (and a bit of NFL) TV work, but he seemed genuinely educated on the Browns and Colts. Really wouldn’t mind seeing him more on some of the NFL shows. No, he’s not over the top or as eccentric as some of the other on air talent, but, least he doesn’t think the Eagles will score 60 points in a game….
