The Fresno State Bulldogs are getting more attention than normal this season, but it’s not necessarily because of how well they’ve played through the first three weeks. Despite having an unblemished record, and already having the look of a BCS-buster, the Bulldogs have been getting games likes tonight’s matchup against the Boise State Broncos on national TV because of the play of their quarterback.
Derek Carr, the younger brother of former Fresno-great and No .1 overall NFL Draft pick of the Houston Texans, is leading the Bulldogs’ high-scoring offense, and some even consider him a darkhorse candidate for the Heisman trophy. Not only that, but scouts in the NFL draft community are infatuated with his skill-set, and believe he can eventually become a first-round draft pick.
