Florida Gators QB Jeff Driskel injured vs Tennessee Volunteers

The Florida Gators are currently playing the Tennessee Volunteers in the Swamp, but in the first-quarter, they’re down 7-0 and have lost their starting QB.

The UF offense got off to an efficient start, but on their second possession, Gators QB Jeff Driskel threw an interception to Devaun Swafford while being hit by UT defensive lineman Corey Miller, and Swafford took it to the house for a touchdown. The injury appeared to be to the right ankle.

On the play, Driskel was injured and had to be helped off the field, and is now on the sidelines with crutches and appears to be not only done for this game, but may be out for a significant amount of time.

Redshirt junior Tyler Murphy is currently in the game for UF, and prior to the game, had never attempted a pass. On his first possession, he completed a long third-down pass to Quinton Dunbar, and has the Gators offense on the move. This is quite a spot to be thrown into for your first college action.
