North Texas Mean Green have an upset on their minds. On a day in which some highly ranked teams are absolutely dismantling their competition (see Ohio State and Louisville), North Texas has pulled even against the Bulldogs early in the second half after a blocked punt was recovered and returned for a touchdown.

The Mean Green were trailing 21-14 at the half but have come out on fire. The crowd has been stunned by the turn of events and has largely been taken out of the game by North Texas. There is not a lot of noise coming from Athens, GA right now.

North Texas is 2-1 on the season with wins against Idaho and Ball State and a loss to the University of Ohio 2 weeks ago. Every Saturday there are risks for top 25 teams to be upset but this would be one of the more surprising ones. North Texas has a good team to be sure but isn’t on the same level as the ninth ranked Bulldogs of Georgia.

I still think Georgia has too much depth to not pull this victory out by the time their afternoon is over, but it is a game worth watching if you enjoy possible upsets.
