One of the greatest traditions of Saturday mornings in the fall is laying on the couch or bed waiting for Lee Corso to make his pick on ESPN’s College Gameday show. Every week Corso picks his winner for the game they’ve attended in dramatic fashion. Usually it involves putting on the mascots head in front of the home team’s crowd. If he picks the visiting team he is met with a chorus of boos and if he picks the home team he is cheered.
This week the College GameDay show has bucked the trend of going to the biggest game of the week, they’ve travelled to Fargo, North Dakota for North Dakota State’s game against Delaware State. Both are FCS teams, not the usual FBS teams. North Dakota State could be called the Alabama of FCS football and they’re taking on a Delaware State team that is 0-2. North Dakota State even beat Kansas State in the first week of the season.
