The Rice Owls were trailing the Houston Cougars at the end of the fourth quarter, when kicker Chris Boswell was called on for an onside kick. However, Boswell didn’t make things easy. He pulled off a tricky switch kick that left the Cougars hands team confused.

Boswell took his plant leg and then wrapped his kicking foot around to complete the kick. It was pretty sweet to see and a clear indication that Boswell must have played some soccer earlier in life.

Here is video of Boswell’s bit of trickeration that led to the successful onside kick conversation:

Pretty sneaky stuff, eh?

Unfortunately for the Owls, they were unable to capitalize on the onside kick and they ended up falling to Houston, 31-26.
