You don’t often hear the words ‘don’t mess with the punter’, but when it comes to San Jose State punter Harrison Waid, you might want to steer clear.

Wade, who famously lost his temper during the Military Bowl against Bowling Green last season has done it again, this time though it involved fists.

On a onside kick against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Waid rushed down to get the ball which took a pretty big bounce over the ‘hands’ team. He was too late as the ball came to rest in the arms of a Gopher who had a blocker right in front of him. He gave Waid a little shoulder shimmy – clearly late but nothing outlandish, which didn’t sit well with Waid. The volatile punter wasn’t having it and decided to unleash a wild flurry of punches, which lead to a small brawl before order could be restored.

Waid was obviously ejected and will likely be enjoying next week from the sidelines after he gets a suspension.
