It appears Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is back. No really, for real this time. I know, I know – he was supposed to be back about fifteen times by now, but dammit, now he’s really back.
Rose, who’s apparently as healthy as he’s ever been is ready to show the world that he can still do it, well, at least, that’s what his new Adidas commercial suggests:
“Have I done enough to get my name on a shoe? Or deserve the world lifting me up when I was down? Can I give my city the ultimate thank you? It’s time to remind the world that even though I wasn’t on the court, I never left the game.” — Derrick Rose
When it comes to commercials, I’m a bigger fan of the comedic route (say like the signing competition between James Harden and Stephen Curry) but this was still pretty solid.
Clearly, Adidas is going to do everything they can to use Rose’s return as a marketing ploy and so far, so good.
