The fifth week of college football action has come and gone and now the new rankings have been released. There wasn’t a whole lot of movement in a relatively quiet weekend, Saturday lacked a marquee match up. Alabama held on to the #1 spot and every team from 1-14 remained in place.
The Miami Hurricanes were the first team to climb moving from 16 to 15 after a huge blow out win. The former 15 team, Michigan dropped all the way to 18 after a close win over UCONN. Washington and Northwestern all moved up one spot behind Miami.
Baylor (19) and Florida (20) flip-flopped places. Ole Miss stayed at 21, Notre Dame stayed at 22 and Wisconsin and Texas Tech moved up as Arizona State dropped from the poll. That cleared the way for Fresno State to move in at 25.
