Floyd Mayweather bet on Johnny Manziel, takes shot at NCAA

Floyd Mayweather got a huge payday from his fight against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez last week, over $40 million in fact. So what does a man with reportedly over $120 million in one bank account spend his money on?

Well he bets on his pal Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Football team to beat SMU. As Floyd frequently does, he tweeted out his slip from his bet and took a shot at the NCAA in the process.

It is a subtle shot, but a shot none the less. Guess it is safe to say where Mayweather and “The Money Team” stand on the paying college athletes debate.

Texas A&M beat SMU 42-13 and Manziel played well too. He completed 14 of 21 passes for 244 yards and 1 touchdown and 1 interception. He also ran the ball 12 times for 102 yards and two more touchdowns. Still you might have expected Texas A&M to have won by a larger margin.
