As was reported earlier, Henrik Stenson wrapped up a dominant performance in the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club with a two-under round of 68 on Sunday. Stenson’s win earned him the overall FedEx Cup prize as well as a cool $11.44 million, but Stenson told reporters after his round that the victory meant far more to him than the giant payday.

Said Stenson:

That’s a fair amount, but it’s definitely the second thing to me right now. Having these two trophies, with my fourth time (to win) on the PGA Tour and then to be the FedExCup champion, that means a whole lot more to me than the money (Reuters).

Stenson has won twice in 2013, with his first win of the year coming at the Deutsche Bank Championship the other week. He went into the Tour Championship dealing with an injured wrist, but he captured the lead on the first day and didn’t relent.
