Fearing wide receiver Josh Gordon is one bad decision away from a year long suspension, the Cleveland Browns have decided to part ways with their talented wideout.
Reports leaked Sunday morning that the Browns had made Gordon, along with fellow wide receiver Greg Little available for trade and already a team has submitted an offer for Gordon, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter who announced the news on SportsCenter this morning.
Schefter suggested that multiple teams have contacted the Browns in regards to Gordon (there was no info on Little) and that one team had already submitted an offer to Cleveland, which they’re currently sitting on.
Gordon was a beast in Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings, hauling in a touchdown to go alongside his 146 receiving yards and after the game hinted he wanted to stay in Cleveland, praising their coaching staff and system.
Whether or not he gets his wish remains to be seen as Schefter did point out that while Gordon is readily available, it’s not at a bargain price and any team that does acquire Gordon would be paying a significant sum.
