Rob Chudzinski won’t name staring quarterback

The Cleveland Browns traded away their star running back Trent Richardson, the same player they traded up in the draft to acquire last year. It looked like the Browns were throwing in the towel by also naming third string quarterback Brian Hoyer the starter.

“I’m going to wait on that until I have all of the information,” Chudzinski said, via Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer. He also said he wants to wait to get more information about Weeden’s injury and that it is his responsibility to play the person who gives them the best chance to win.

It’d he hard for him to not ride the Hoyer train of emotion and momentum now and put back in Weeden, even if Hoyer threw three interceptions.

It’s easy to name the “staring” quarterback. That’s Weeden. That’s his biggest problem. Go Browns!
